John Meola Lindhorst

John Lindhorst is the owner of the popular little Ukulele Station America, as well as his latest dream venture, Oregon Music Garage. Before that, John has been very active in the arts within the community. He owned Washington Street Mercantile & Coffeehouse, a popular venue for live music in Oregon, Illinois.

Throughout his forty year career, as a singer, song-writer and teacher, John has lived and taught in Illinois, Hawaii and California, For the past several years, John's sphere of artistic influence as well as business leadership has returned him to the beautiful and historic town of Oregon; the place he calls home.

John wrote, directed and starred in "Livin' On The River", that tells the story of Oregon, Illinois.

Lindhorst keeps very busy in his involvement with the Oregon community. He is President of "Oregon Together" and works with local business and groups to create and organize fun and engaging local events. John founded and directed the Oregon Community Chorus, served on the Autumn on Parade Committee and is a former President of the Oregon Chamber of Commerce.

In this latest chapter of his new life, as owner of two music shops, John still spends his days playing the ukulele and writing original songs. He hosts fun "strum-a-longs" and programs, teaches and performs throughout Northern Illinois. Booking inquiries can be made through Ukulele Station America.
